First of all, why do we sometimes call it Turkey Day? I never do...(besides in this post.) And why isn't Easter ever called Egg Day? Or St. Patrick's Day called Clover Day? Or Valentines Day called Hard Chalky Candy Heart Day? Or Halloween called Pumpkin Day? I think you get it. I asked a similar question about Independence Day. Asking, why is it the only Holiday called by it's calender date. (The 4th of July.) And why is Christmas never referred to as The 25th of December, and Halloween is never The 31st of October, etc...maybe we'll never know...
Thanksgiving weekend was great.
Here are some of the highlights...
1. Dinner with the Garretts. We had about 70 people at my parents church. Good food, good company, a lot of laughs, a lot to be thankful for.
2. My brothers and Pauls talent at the Thanksgiving family talent show, It's a little over 5 minutes, but trust me, it's worth it. Click HERE!!!
3. My cousins John-David and Spencer coming out from West Virginia. I haven't seen them in over 5 years and it was SO good to see them. Love these boys.
4. 2 new sisters-in-law to share the holiday fun with.
5. The perfect man for me, who fits in so well with the whole family.
6. Black Friday shopping with Anne and Kylee. I love a good deal! The day after Thanksgiving is the one day I look forward to getting up early!
7. Leftover turkey and all the fixins friday night with Paul.
8. A relaxing saturday that felt like a 3rd saturday in a row...love long weekends. And also, getting the outside decor up, so I'm totally done decorating!
9. Turning on the Christmas lights and a fire in my fireplace (built by Paul). And enjoying both while dozing off in the papasan chair. (Seriously, I'll take some Christmas decor pictures really soon.)
10. Dinner and card playing at mom and dads tonight, and dropping off some Christmas treats to Grandma and Grandpa to wrap up the weekend.

What are you talking about, I always refer to it as Hard Chalky Candy Heart Day?
Thanks for the video. It made a 1am feeding a little less painful.
Your family is so funny! That video made me laugh, I am going to e-mail it to my sisters! I forgot to tell you, if you like shopping after the holiday, try going to the Midnight maddness sale on Thanksgiving night at Park City, so fun! Try it next year!
The video was great.
