Finishing up the trip to Utah (part 1)

Right after we got home from the funeral, Paul and I changed clothes and headed to a wedding.  It was a nice way to end a hard day.  Congrats to Cat and Levi!

Paul went home or the second week and then came back to get us the next weekend.  While he was gone we had a Germany Reunion.  All the families who knew each other in Germany got together for a pool party and barbecue.  It was so great to see everyone, and so fun that you can go years without seeing people, and then pick right back up like you're best friends again.  Good times.
Playing in the backyard.  Addie tried to climb the slide.  She looked back at me and flipped off the side.  She's fine.
Sitting with Grammy.
She ate a little too much sidewalk chalk.
Addie's got Garrett pinned!  AND she stole his sippy cup.  I think G needs a new workout plan.
Splish splashin'
 Peach pickin'
Grandpa took us on a tour of all the homes he's ever lived in.  But before we drove to the first home, he wanted to go by the capital.  He was trying to get us as close to the southwest lawn as possible, and when we got as close as we could, he said, "Well anyway, that's where Grandma and I used to make out."  It cracked me up.  I've never heard my grandpa say 'make out' before.

Great Grandma Gray's house.  It had 5 units in it.  Grandpa moved Grandma and baby Aunt Shauna into one of the units when he went away to war.
This was the entrance to their little one bedroom place in the big house.
Grandma and Grandpa lived above a bakery here on 21st south.
The next three are childhood homes. (I think)

The only home I don't have pictured here is the one that I lived in too.  It was in Sugarhouse on the corner of 21st south and 14th east.  It is now a Blue Boutique.

This is the Centerville home they've lived in for the past 6 years.
 Kisses for Great-Grandpa.
We also went to Swiss Days in Midway.  Mara was working up in Heber for the day, so she met us for some shopping and lunch.

Swiss Days

Paul had his first experience with Swiss Days in Midway yesterday. He actually enjoyed it more than I thought he would. I didn't take any pictures of anything Swiss, because there really isn't anything too Swiss about the actual event. A lot of booths of stuff that Paul said starts to all look the same. A lot of people and a lot of sun. It was a hot day yesterday and I unfortunately forgot to think about sunscreen. We met up with 5 friends and did a little shopping, had lunch, did a little more shopping, and called it a day. 3 of the 7 of us are pregnant and being on your feet in that kind of heat wears you out pretty fast. I didn't buy much. A couple things for the baby, a couple necklaces and some potpourri. Here is the only picture we got in Midway.
Our plan last night was to go nursing bra shopping, a fun Saturday night activity. But we were both so tired that I knew if we made it home we wouldn't leave again. So we stopped by the Park City outlets on the way home from Midway. It seemed like a mistake as we turned in toward the shopping area because it was so busy! Paul was gonna drop me off at the Motherhood Maternity outlet and circle around and pick me up, but we found a parking spot right in front of the store. We ran in, I tried a couple on, perfect fit, on sale, we paid, and we were on the road again in 15 minutes!

A couple hours later we headed over to Erik and Deb's house to drop off some DVDs. Jordon and Katie were there so the 6 of us went to dinner and talked for a couple hours. (I ate a lot of salsa and a jalapeno at dinner to try and induce labor but it didn't work.) I'd noticed my sunburn while trying on bras but as the evening progressed it seemed to get brighter, and everyone made sure I knew about it. The best part is that I was wearing a necklace with a square charm hanging from it, so this is how awesome I look now. And my cheeks and nose are pretty rosy too.It was a fun but exhausting day and Paul is glad Monday is a holiday to recuperate.

meh...

1. I had a cupid-ish dream a couple weeks ago and I think it could be true. Not saying it could be like it might be but I think it seems possible. I was cyber cupid. I was stalk people on dating sites who seemed to be struggling. I'd copy their pictures and recreate their profiles. I didn't lie about anything, but I just worded their info different and made them seem charming and funny. (Dudes and chicks) Then I'd send emails from the fake (kind of real) profiles that were new and improved to the old boring profile. Stay with me. Ok, this could take a while, let me break it down. Cool Dude (me) would email Boring Chick (real person) and ask her out. Then Cool Chick (me) would email Boring Dude (real person) and ask him out. Only one guy and one girl, but I just spiced 'em up a bit. So they'd meet at a restaurant and they'd both think that the other person arranged it. Paul and I would spy on them because since I was that master mind behind it all, I knew where they were meeting. It was so cool and it worked! This could be the next big thing.

2. I just realized that besides Project 365, this is the first time I've blogged in a month. I'm boring. Or just really busy and tired.

3. My mom and I are going to Swiss Days tomorrow. I love Swiss Days. But this year I'm kinda just wanting to see all the crafters who stole The Wood Connections product and copied them. I know, I'm pathetic.

4. My father-in-law bought a wii and a wii fit when we were in California last week. It was so funny watching Paul do everything. My favorite was hula hoop and yogo. It was so entertaining. Now he thinks we need one.5. We still haven't sent thank yous. It's been almost 3 months. I really am thankful, its just that this part is hard! They are sitting here staring at me right now, about half done. I will finish at some point. But we're still getting gifts and cards in the mail so that makes me feel a little better about it. Speaking of things sitting here staring at me...

6. Skittles, Starbursts, and M&Ms are too. I'm not eating sugar. I don't know for how long, but for a while. I need to be healthy and in control. Not that I'm not, but I eat too much candy. I could eat candy all day. My mom informed me that she could too. I didn't inherit a lot from my moms genes. We love each other a ton, but lets face it, we don't have a ton in common. I wish I would have gotten her patience over her sweet tooth. Oh well!

Ok, that's enough.
